Special Days For The Other Women In Your Life

Along with the woman that we’re with, there are other women in our lives that are important to us.  We can’t forget our own mothers, sisters, family, and friends on Mother’s Day or any other special days that we have with someone.

We’ll list ideas and thoughts on what to do on special days with the “Other Hers” in our lives to help make them feel special too.

Birthdays

For anybody’s birthday, you should always attempt to call them or get in touch with them some how to wish them a great birthday.  If you don’t have time to give them a call, try to reach them by either sending a text message to their cell phone, an email to them, or if they’re on Facebook or Myspace send them a message their.  As long as you try to reach out to them on their birthday is the very least you can do.

If you plan on seeing them that day, make sure to get them a card wishing them a Happy Birthday.  And depending on how well you know them, decide if you want to give them a gift of some kind.  You can always take them out to lunch or dinner on their birthday if they’re free or you can always plan a birthday meal sometime during the week their birthday fell on.

We definitely recommend getting your Mother, Daughter(s), and any close friend or family member something on their birthday or even taking them out one day during the week of their birthday.  For the women in your life that you’re not as close to or don’t know as well, a phone call or sending them a message wishing them a good birthday is just fine.

Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day, you should always attempt to see your mother that day if the person you’re with or seeing isn’t a mom.  If you can’t make a quick visit to see her, be sure to give her a call to say hello and to wish her a great Mother’s Day.

If you do go visit your mother, be sure to pick her up a Mother’s Day card and if possible a small gift and/or flowers.  In the card, let her know you appreciate the Mother that she is and thank her for raising you the way she has.  Write something from you to her, expressing your thoughts and be thankful for everything that she’s done.  After that, just make sure to give her a huge hug and a big old kiss on the cheek to make her day.

For any other family members or friends, be sure to call them or get a message out to them via text message, email, or any numerous ways of getting in touch and let them know you didn’t forget about them on Mother’s Day.

Secretary’s/Administrative Professional’s Day

Administrative Professional’s Day (which was formerly Secretary’s Day) is usually celebrated on the Wednesday of the last full week in April.  If you’re friendly with, a friend of, or know a family member that’s a secretary, receptionist, or administrative assistant, be sure to wish them a Happy Administrative Professional Day.

If you’re a Boss, C.E.O., or manager with a secretary or administrative assistant, try to get your employee a card or a small gift for the day.

Some nice gift ideas for Administrative Professional’s Day are:

  • flowers
  • candy
  • gift certificate from a store they like
  • breakfast
  • lunch
  • letting them leave a little early that day
  • a small gift of your choice

Other Special Days

If you share any other special dates with your family or friends, make sure to celebrate them in someway.  If it’s an important date, do something to commemorate the day and enjoy it with one another.

And always keep in mind that in order to enjoy the day with her or make her feel special, you don’t have to always get her something or do something.  You hanging out together and having fun with each other is the more important thing to do when celebrating those special days.
