Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day (February 14) can be celebrated in many different ways with the person you’re with or dating.  It can be an evening out together enjoying a show, a romantic dinner, a regular day together with little gifts, or doing all those things together.  It’s entirely up to you on how you celebrate it and how you both feel about Valentine’s Day.  If it’s a day you both appreciate and look forward to, try and make the most of it and get your relationship closer.

Whether you’ve only been together for a short time or married for a while, we’ll help you make the most of Valentine’s Day this year and give you pointers on how to make it special.

Ask her to be your Valentine

Yea, we know it’s a little dumb to ask your girlfriend/wife/date to be your Valentine because it’s pretty much guaranteed that she will be, but make her feel special or make her smile with a new approach this year.

  • Call her a few days before Valentine’s Day and playfully tell her you were wondering if she would be your Valentine this year.
  • Write one of those “Kindergarten” love notes with the check boxes that say “Yes or No” and on the top write “Will you be my Valentine?”
  • Get a card that has the phrase “Will you be my Valentine?”

These ways of asking her to be your Valentine will make her smile and laugh and have you both feeling good about Valentine’s Day before the day gets there.

What should you do and/or get her?

For Valentine’s Day, when it comes to getting her something or doing something for her, you can go about it in many different ways.  You can go with a card, chocolates, and dinner at nice place you both love or you can go out for the night and do a show together as a Valentine’s Day gift to each other.  There’s really no set thing to do for the day besides wishing her a Happy Valentine’s Day.  Other than that, it’s up to you to make the day into something special depending on what you’re willing to do or can do.

Here are some of our suggestions for Valentine’s Day Gifts and Ideas:
