Buying Flowers

We checked around different flower stores and websites to get descriptions on as many flowers and roses as we could.  Feel free to look over our entire list to see if their’s any flowers that stand out to you.   We listed the flowers traditional meanings so that you can keep them in mind when you’re ready to buy anyone flowers.

Always remember though, most people don’t know the meaning of most flowers and just like them for what they look like and remind them of.  Don’t feel as if when you purchase these flowers, their meaning is all that matters.  However, if you want to impress someone, give them the flower(s), explain to them the meaning of the flower(s), and then why you choose it for them.

Meanings of Different Roses

Red Rose
Means “I love you.”  Represents romance and love.

Deep Pink
Means “thank you”. If someone you know does something nice for you, a deep pink rose is a good way of saying “thank you”.

Regular Pink
Represents happiness. Give a pink rose to your partner to say, “I’m very happy with our relationship.”

Light Pink
Means “sympathy”. When someone has had a loss then light pink roses is a very nice way of expressing your condolences.

White Rose
Symbolizes innocence and purity.  Also to say “You’re Heavenly”.

Yellow Rose
Symbolizes friendship, joy, “welcome back”, and caring. It’s the perfect innocent gift to give to a friend or give to a loved one when you want to say “I care about you”.

Lavender Rose
Is a symbol of “falling in love”. When you give it to a person you are saying “I have fallen in love with you”

Orange Rose
A symbol of desire. “I desire you” or “I desire to get to know you better” is the message that orange roses send.

Orange and Yellow Rose
A symbol of Passionate thoughts.

Red and Yellow Rose
Symbolizes congratulations.

Pink and White Rose
Means “I love you still and I always will”

Black Rose
Never ever give a woman a black rose, due to Hollywood,  made out the meaning of this rose to be “death”.

Blue Rose
A very hard rose to reproduce or find, the blue rose symbolizes “mystery” and to others “attaining the impossible”. A blue rose given can symbolize the rarity of your partner.

A Mixture of White and Red Roses
Giving white and red roses together to someone, is a symbol of unification and unity. “May we always be together as one.”
