Here are some bigger ideas you can use to help put a smile on her face. These ideas may take a bit more prepping and possibly more money, but if you’re willing to go for it, do it. The smile on her face that you’ll get will always be worth it no matter if you spend nothing or a lot.
Buy a Bouquet of Flowers
A dozen Roses, a bouquet of her favorite flowers, or a selection of different flowers that you choose are all great options in sending a bouquet. These tend to be huge arrangements that come with a vase or bundles of paper so sending them to her job might not be the best place to send them but maybe meeting up with her later in person would be the better option or bringing them to her when she’s relaxed at home.
Surprise Dinner
Fellas, you can go many ways with this surprise here. You can take her out to dinner somewhere, “order in” a dinner for two, or you can be her one and only Chef for the evening. Here’s what to do:
Take Her Out to Dinner
If you know her favorite restaurant and she hasn’t been there in a while, tell her you’re taking her out to dinner somewhere and let her figure out where you’re taking her. Be playful about it and tell her not to worry about it as she gets excited to know where you’re taking her. Don’t give in! Let her find out when she gets to the parking lot so she can tell you she knew all along where you were going.
Another option if the person you’re with is into trying different things, tell her lets grab a phone book and go to the nearest Thai/Indian/Mexican or whatever restaurant the both of you choose to go to and go. Try something different and experience a possible new place to go to together.
Order In
Sometimes, neither one of you are in the mood to cook or go and sit down at a restaurant. Breakout the menus and order in some pizza, Chinese food, or anything else that’ll deliver. Rent a movie you both can enjoy or catch up on some TV together while you both unwind and enjoy each others company.
If possible, even though its cheap fast food, spice things up a little and light a candle or two around the table or where ever your sitting to make it romantic.
You Be the Chef
We’ll tell you this right now fellas, if you can even somewhat cook, you’ll earn way more points with her for cooking it up yourself for her. However, if you can’t toast bread properly for the life of you, by all means, breakout the Chinese and Pizzeria menus.
Cook your best tasting meal or her favorite meal that you make and serve it over a lit candle in the middle of a table. If she drinks wine, by her favorite wine. If she doesn’t like wine, serve your drinks in a wine glass anyway just to play along with your setting and get her to smile.
Gifts
Surprise gifts can range from clothing, to jewelry, CD’s, to just about anything. If you’re not sure on a gift to get her, just listen to her in your everyday conversations or when you go shopping around with her to pick up hints and clues of things she likes. If something sticks out or you remember she likes a certain item, pick it up for her one day and surprise her with it.

A Last Minute Trip or Get-Away
Set up a little get away from your town. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant but if you want it to be, it’s up to you. You can set up a simple trip to your local city to go see a play or even just walk around the city together.
If possible, make it a weekend get-away. Find a nice hotel somewhere and go away for the weekend. Get spa treatment, see a show, or just play lazy and sleep the days away together.
Your get-away is whatever you want it to be and I’m sure anything you do for her, will be appreciated and loved.
